Pape-Dawson is committed to responsible corporate citizenship in the communities that we serve. In 2004, Pape-Dawson was presented the prestigious Pinnacle Award as the Corporate Citizen of the Year by the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. This award is presented to those “who demonstrate leadership, vision, innovation and dedication to the San Antonio community”. 2004 was the third year the award was given, with the first two presented to Valero Corporation and USAA.

Education is an important focus for Pape-Dawson. We are proud to fund endowed scholarships at the University of Texas – San Antonio, Texas A&M University and the University of Texas. Pape-Dawson employees also volunteer their time for our mentorship program at a local elementary school where young engineers provide students with homework help, modeling for career success and listening/learning skills.

In addition to substantial financial support from the company to a variety of non-profit organizations, Pape-Dawson employees volunteer their time to over 100 different charitable, civic and professional organizations. In 2012, 84% of our employees participated in Pape-Dawson’s United Way Campaign, donating a total of $101,254.
