Pape-Dawson developed the master plan for Alon Town Centre, located at the southwest corner of NW Military Highway and Wurzbach Parkway in San Antonio. This urban, 32-acre, 330,000 SF restaurant and office project serves an affluent area in north San Antonio, with HEB Alon Market as the anchor tenant.
We prepared engineering studies for the site, including a stormwater management plan and detention design, traffic impact analysis, utility service agreement, tree stand delineation plan, and rezoning.
Challenges we seamlessly mitigated included coordinating with TxDOT for site access while NW Military Highway was under construction; designing complex grading solutions for pedestrian connectivity and multi-level parking; and coordinating construction schedules to provide necessary water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater facilities.
