Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. announces the addition of Ruben Gaztambide, RPLS, PS, CP, to the company’s Geospatial team in Austin. Mr. Gaztambide, who joins the company as Senior Project Manager-Geospatial, has more than 20 years of experience in the land surveying and geospatial industry in a variety of market sectors, including transportation, land development, municipal government, and education.
In his role, he will lead geospatial and surveying efforts for TxDOT projects. Mr. Gaztambide’s understanding of the needs of market sectors, as well as the successful implementation of multidisciplinary projects, supports Pape-Dawson’s expansion of its geospatial service line throughout Texas. Previous projects include the development and implementation of a mobile LiDAR service line and the integration of multiple geospatial technologies to develop survey grade remote-sensing techniques used in design engineering applications for TxDOT and other engineering clients.

He is a member of the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS), Professional College of Engineers, Land Surveyors of Puerto Rico, and the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors, on which he currently serves as a 2nd year Director in the Capital Area Chapter.
Mr. Gaztambide earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and has a Bachelor of Science in Land Surveying and Mapping from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico. He is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Texas, a Professional Surveyor in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist.
