Shelly Mitchell Promoted to Senior Vice President
Austin, Texas (July 21, 2025) – Pape-Dawson is proud to announce the promotion of Shelly Mitchell, P.E., to Senior Vice President. A dedicated team leader and seasoned engineer, Shelly has been with Pape-Dawson for more than 20 years and currently leads the Commercial Land Development team in Austin.
Throughout her career, Shelly has built an impressive portfolio spanning retail, industrial, multi-family, and institutional land development projects. She is recognized for her expertise in feasibility studies, design, project management, and navigating complex permitting processes across Central Texas with a focus in the greater Austin area.
Beyond her technical accomplishments, Shelly plays an active role in the Central Texas development community. She serves on the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Austin Technical Assistance Panel (TAPs) oversight committee, completed the McBee Fellowship program through the Austin Area Research Organization (AARO) in 2024, and previously served six years on the Board of Directors for the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA).
In her new role, Shelly will continue to guide the firm’s commercial operations in Austin, expand client relationships, and drive strategic initiatives to strengthen Pape-Dawson’s presence in Central Texas.
