SAN ANTONIO, Texas (March 25, 2026) – Pape-Dawson is pleased to announce the promotion of Steve Dean, P.E., CFM, to Senior Vice President, Expanding Markets.
Steve’s career with Pape-Dawson began more than 30 years ago and is defined by his successful leadership in several business lines. Most recently, he served as Vice President of the firm’s San Antonio Stormwater practice. His impressive resume includes the nationally recognized San Pedro Creek Culture Park project, one of San Antonio’s most significant infrastructure initiatives designed to remove 40 acres of downtown from the 100-year floodplain and provide a public park to promote urban revitalization.
Steve’s leadership extends to local industry and nonprofit organizations. He currently serves as the Texas Floodplain Management Association (TFMA) Region 6 Board Director, where he leads initiatives such as National Insurance Flood Protection 101 training for floodplain management professionals and proctoring the Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) exam, helping advance industry knowledge and standards across Texas. He is also an advisory member of the Board of Trustees for Meals on Wheels San Antonio, after serving on the Board for over 7 years, where he promotes the organization’s continued success and is an active volunteer.
In his new role, Steve will focus on professional development programs designed to educate project managers on financial, operational, and business practices, supporting stronger project performance and long-term growth. He will also guide the integration of new market partners, ensuring alignment with Pape-Dawson’s standards and processes as the firm expands its presence nationwide. As he takes on this new responsibility, Steve will continue to serve our Central and South Texas clients as a familiar and trusted representative of the firm.
