Redding Regional
Airport Master Plan

Redding, CA

Redding Regional Airport is a non-hub primary commercial service airport. Our team is currently leading a master planning effort that includes multiple subconsultants. The airport doubled its passenger enplanements the year the study started, which led to detailed discussions with the FAA to justify the forecasts. With new FAA-approved forecasts, the airport was able to move forward on one of the most important projects, which is a planned new terminal building. The master plan provides a detailed terminal analysis, which includes a new terminal building that is three times as large as the current building. The master plan provides analysis of general aviation needs, planning for various types of new hangars, space allocation for aerial firefighting operations, and considers substantial growth in business aviation. The plan identifies activity triggers that will provide justification for construction of a runway extension and a new aircraft apron.
