Tyler Pounds Regional Airport
Environmental Assessment
for Runway 4-22
Pape-Dawson (as KSA) has been the prime consultant at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport (TYR) since 2000. We have completed numerous projects, from small renovations to major improvement projects, including the extension of the primary commercial service runway (4-22).
We worked closely with airport management to justify the relocation of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) from Runway 13-31 to Runway 4-22 and completed a runway length analysis as runway safety area (RSA) improvements were planned, designed, and constructed. Each project required an environmental assessment in compliance with the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA).
Our team met every deadline to ensure that grants could be issued for projects. Our relationship with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) combined with our strong understanding of its requirements were critical to delivering successful projects.
