Midway Elementary School
Sanford, FL
Pape-Dawson (as Bonnett Design Group) provided landscape architecture services and LEED documentation support for this state-of-the-art magnet school. A drought tolerant plant palette and selective use of a drip irrigation system promoted water efficiency, and the site’s heat island effect was dramatically mitigated through highly reflective paving materials and strategic placement of shade trees. The project was the first LEED certified campus in Seminole County.
