11th Ave Nashville
Electric Service Substation
Pape-Dawson (as RaganSmith) worked directly with Nashville Electric Service (NES) on providing a route for three separate duct banks, from the existing 10th Ave substation to the new 11th Ave location. This involved survey and in-depth review of existing public utilities to traverse 0.5 mile of dense downtown Nashville streets with three 3’x4’ duct banks and the required vaults. The design, which also included over 800 LF of gas and water main relocation and rehabilitating fiber ducts under I-65, required extensive coordination with NES and Metro Water Services. For the permitting needs on this project, we worked with the City and State departments to ensure all required regulations and permits were met and provided.
