Middle Tennessee Electric
(MTE) Fairview Substation
Fairview, TN
Pape-Dawson (as RaganSmith) worked directly with Power Resources on the development of a new electrical substation for Middle Tennessee Electric (MTE). The substation sits on two parcels of land, totaling nearly 22 acres.
Our team evaluated plans prepared by others to identify potential design flaws and coordinated with Power Resources and Williamson County to finalize design plans and obtain permit approval and begin construction.
We incorporated third-party information into the design plans and site construction practices including Water of the U.S. assessments, threatened or endangered species assessment, and geotechnical exploration of the site. Construction administration services were also provided to Power Resources to ensure design plans were being followed, navigate field changes, ensure construction quality, and maintain schedule. Post construction inspections/certifications of as-builts and site conditions were performed to ensure final U&O sign-off was approved by all necessary City and State Departments.
