Improvement Project

This project transformed the 8th Street corridor in the heart of downtown Naples from an underutilized, utilitarian corridor to a multimodal, aesthetically pleasing complete street which serves as an extension of the internationally renowned 5th Avenue South shopping and dining district. The project included multimodal transportation design, new sidewalks, new on-street parking, traffic calming, street lighting, intersection improvements (including a new roundabout), buffered bicycle lanes, stormwater, utilities, landscape, and irrigation improvements.
