areas of expertise
Geologic & Water Quality Services
We conducted a geologic assessment of this development site. Pape-Dawson environmental professionals covered approximately 252 acres to map surface geology in accordance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requirements. The field effort determined which features could contain potential pathways for containment movement into the Edwards Aquifer by assessing their physical setting and characteristics.

Hazardous Materials Compliance & Remediation
We conducted Phase II environmental site assessments of this development site to analyze the impacts of an on-site livestock dipping vat, in preparation for a proposed real estate transaction. We installed 42 soil borings to assess extent of arsenic and organochlorine pesticide-affected soils and groundwater, and samplings of public water wells located within a 500’ radius of the dipping vat. We also conducted a risk-based assessment to calculate use of TCEQ Texas Risk Reduction Program Tier 2 Protective Concentration Levels for residential sites.
