University Hospital Expansion
The University Health System expanded University Hospital, located in San Antonio’s South Texas Medical Center, adding a 1-million-SF facility (the premiere Level 1 trauma center for South Texas), a medical office building, and an 11-story parking garage.
Pape-Dawson provided civil engineering design, traffic engineering, and construction phase services for a 6-acre parking lot expansion to serve displaced staff, patients, and visitors during construction of the trauma center. We also completed topographic, boundary, and tree surveys; a parking study; traffic impact analysis; and a stormwater management plan.
