In 1965, Pape-Dawson Engineers was established in San Antonio as a civil engineering firm with the goal of providing quality services with a high level of integrity. Under the leadership of Gene Dawson Jr., P.E., and Sam Dawson, P.E., Pape-Dawson has become one of the largest and most respected engineering firms in Texas. Pape-Dawson has provided civil engineering and associated services for many successful, high profile projects in the San Antonio area, including the Vista Ridge Water Supply Project, JW Marriott Resort Hotel and golf courses, Pearl Brewery development, San Pedro Creek Culture Park, AT&T Center, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, the Toyota Assembly Plant, and hundreds of residential subdivisions since the year 2000, including more than 100,000 lots.
