Pape-Dawson (as 7gen Planning) provided landscape architecture services for Phase 2 of the Deerbrooke community. Our design incorporated consistent materials and styles based on the community’s existing recreation center, providing residents with a cohesive, connected feeling throughout the community. The Phase 1 planting palette was continued and expanded for the required landscape lots along the community collector road.
A creek runs through the community and is spanned by a large limestone block bridge. Our team enhanced this bridge with native planting, limestone columns and fencing, and a covered shade structure at each end to offer a rest area for residents using the sidewalks and nearby trail.
We also designed a conceptual park and trail system utilizing the greenbelt created along the creek. The trail system connects residents to the recreation center and parks throughout the community.
