Our telecommunications team provided route engineering, route validation, utility coordination, and permitting support for Verizon’s large-scale FTTx build across multiple U.S. markets. Design was completed in the client’s 3-GIS system, supported by field walkouts to validate route placement and constructibility. Utility data was collected and displayed on permit drawings from existing GIS data available and from field conditions.
We met aggressive project schedules, permitting more than 560 miles through multiple entities, including DOTs and railroads, and produced construction and as-built drawings. We also provided pole field collection, space planning, loading analysis, and pole applications to support aerial routing for the different markets.
