Memorial Pedestrian Bridge
Pape-Dawson provided transportation engineering services for a new pedestrian bridge near Milby High School, designed to improve student safety and connectivity across nearby railroad tracks.
Working closely with TxDOT, the City of Houston, Union Pacific Railroad, and Houston Independent School District, the team completed schematic design, environmental documentation, and PS&E on an accelerated schedule to help advance construction. The bridge includes weather protection, lighting, and accessible pathways designed to encourage daily use while providing a safe, convenient route to campus.
The project represents a collaborative effort to deliver a lasting safety improvement for the Milby High School community.
