South Texas Medical
Center Traffic Signals
As part of the Vision Zero program, Pape-Dawson worked with South Texas Medical Center (STMC), the City of San Antonio, and other stakeholders to identify locations where pedestrian hybrid signals (HAWK signal) could be utilized to facilitate safe crossings throughout STMC. We guided use of this new technology and coordinated with the City’s traffic group to maintain their preferences and help set a precedent for the specifications and requirements for these types of signalized mid-block crossings.
