Recycling Center Expansion
The Medio Creek Water Recycling Center is one of San Antonio Water System’s four major recycling centers serving 1.2 million people in San Antonio and Western Bexar County.
Pape-Dawson led a team of consultants to expand the existing recycling center by 7.5 MGD to a total capacity of 16 MGD. The Design-Bid-Build project included the design of a new influent lift station, new headworks with fine screens and grit removal, aeration basins, clarifiers, filters, and ultraviolet disinfection facilities.
We also designed a new influent pump for the facility, and during the initial phase, designed a facility plan to expand the plant up to 31 MGD, establishing future flows and treatment process alternatives.
