Ormond Crossing
Volusia County, FL
Ormond Crossing is an innovative live/work planned community, featuring a state-of-the-art business park, town center, and more than 2,500 medium-, low-, and high-density residential lots.
The 3,000-acre tract is located along the east and west side of I-95 and south of US-1. The project site is adjacent to the Ormond Beach Municipal Airport and is bisected diagonally by Florida East Coast Railroad, which has existing siding along the property. Because of its proximity to these major transportation links, the site is an ideal location for industrial and commercial uses.
Site challenges included navigating 800 acres of protected wetlands and coordination of temporary utilities for Phase I. In addition to land development services, our team also provided potable and reclaimed water demand calculations, wastewater generation calculations, hydraulic modeling, lift station design, submersible pump selection, and construction cost estimates.
