The DoSeum
Considering river management and visitor safety, Pape-Dawson completed a feasibility study of the 6-acre site now home to The DoSeum children’s museum.
To address flood control needs, we incorporated low impact development features into our grading and drainage design, including more than 1,500′ of interconnected bioswales to manage stormwater. Consequently, Pape-Dawson submitted a conditional letter of map amendment to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and a letter of map revision to remove the building and outdoor exhibits from within the 100-year floodplain.
