Pape-Dawson Engineers Celebrates

55-Year Anniversary

21 October 2020

Pape-Dawson Engineers is celebrating 55 years of service in Texas.

Founded in 1965, Pape-Dawson Engineers has provided professional civil engineering consulting for some of the largest, most complex site development and infrastructure projects in Texas. Recent projects include the Vista Ridge Regional Water Supply project in San Antonio, Veramendi in New Braunfels, H-E-B Snack plant in Houston, the Domain South End in Austin, and the USAA Legacy office in Plano.

“As the population of Texas continues to grow, it is imperative that infrastructure and site development are planned and delivered with the community, environment, and future generations as the primary focus. We are grateful for the many opportunities we have had over the past 55 years to work with our clients, our partners, and our employees,” said Gene Dawson, President.

Pape-Dawson is the largest engineering firm in San Antonio, in addition to being the largest civil engineering firm headquartered and exclusively located in Texas. Recent accolades include ranking #1 in Master-Planned Development/Site Infrastructure in Texas and Louisiana by Engineering News-Record in 2020.

“We are constantly striving to be the most respected engineering firm in the state of Texas, and we hope that every interaction fulfills our mission,” said Sam Dawson, Chief Executive Officer.

A fundamental Pape-Dawson philosophy is community involvement and support. The Pape-Dawson Charitable Foundation was founded in honor of our 50th Anniversary. “Over the last five years, Pape-Dawson and the employee charitable trust have donated combined funds to numerous local charities throughout Texas,” said Sam Dawson. “We are honored to support our communities not only through the work we do, but also through contributions and volunteer hours.”
