Pape-Dawson designed the 4,250’ steel and concrete east-bound/south-bound direct connector and the 300’ SB Mound Road overpass for a critical highway/tollway interchange in Harris County. Services included structural analysis and detailing of continuous curved trapezoidal steel box girders, pre-stressed concrete U-beams, inverted T-cap beams, and drilled shaft foundations. Portions of the direct connectors were designed for future depressed frontage roads along US 290. All bridge designs conform to AASHTO LRFD Specifications.
