The Riverbend Regional Water Resources District (RWRD) has partnered with Pape-Dawson Engineers to develop a new regional water system, including treatment facilities, intake, and transmission lines from Wright Patman Lake to its member entity Cities of Annona, Avery, Hooks, Leary, Maud, Nash, New Boston, Redwater, Texarkana, and Wake Village; as well as Central Bowie Country Water Supply Corporation, Oak Grove Water Supply Corporation, and the TexAmericas Center.
The Riverbend Water Resources District was recently approved for a $200 Million Texas Water Development Board State Revolving Loan to build new infrastructure. Pape-Dawson will serve as the District’s extension of staff, providing Program Management services over the next 5 years, and lead the team that includes CDM Smith, Cox-McClain, Stokes, KSA, West Consultants, and Plus 6. The completed project is projected to supply approximately 115 million gallons of water per day to the region.
Pape-Dawson is uniquely positioned to complete this project by applying their expertise and experience from the recently completed Vista Ridge Regional Water Supply Project. The team will utilize
specialized tools and templates developed in-house to increase program efficiency and engage stakeholders throughout the community and continue our client-focused philosophy to deliver for RWRD .
“We are excited to support RWRD on a project of such significance for Northeast Texas,” said Senior Vice President Cara Tackett, P.E., LEED, AP. “Our water resources teams have built strong strategies for projects of this magnitude and I am confident we will exceed expectations for the North Texas communities we serve.”
