Engineering News-Record Texas & Louisiana Announces Top Young Professionals 2022.
Pape-Dawson Engineers is proud to announce that Senior Vice President Taylor Dawson, P.E. has been named one of this year’s “Top Young Professionals” by Engineering News Record Texas & Louisiana. An independent panel of judges chose twenty individuals under the age of 40 who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, industry experience, and community service.
Taylor Dawson has 11 years of corporate management and civil engineering project leadership experience. He serves Pape-Dawson as an officer, responsible for strategic growth and operations planning. Mr. Dawson has successfully designed and managed many significant San Antonio land development projects, including the Rackspace Corporate Office; the Alamo Ranch master-planned community; the Westover Hills 30-acre commercial development at Highway 151/Potranco; Cornerstone Christian school; and several H-E-B shopping centers, Corner Store developments, and Gold’s Gym sites.
Mr. Dawson is a board member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. He serves as Urban Land Institute’s Mobility Local Member Council Chair and Vice-Chair on the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Committee. He is one of the founders of the PD Connect program, which provides Pape-Dawson employees opportunities to learn and network through mentorship, project site visits, a speaker series, social events, and trainings geared towards developing future company leaders.

Mr. Dawson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. Taylor was named “Young Engineer of the Year” by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers Bexar Chapter in 2019 and was included in the San Antonio Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list in 2021.
