Pape-Dawson provided civil engineering services for a 38-unit, 2-acre residential condominium in Austin. We managed paving, grading, drainage, utility infrastructure, and pedestrian and traffic control.
The complex is located within the East Bouldin Creek watershed, which is classified as an urban watershed. Extensive drainage analyses were provided to the City for the underground retention/irrigation facilities, water quality treatment via rain gardens, and a stormwater system capacity analysis for City infrastructure.
We coordinated the relocation of existing wastewater and stormwater infrastructure with Austin Water Utility and the City drainage review department. Driveway spacing waivers and new street parking was permitted by the transportation department to provide adequate vehicular access.
