Pape-Dawson managed the production of an environmental assessment for a new two-lane, 7.6-mile TxDOT roadway through an existing neighborhood and critical habitat for threatened/endangered species. The program included utilizing public involvement to garner critical community support and successfully navigate potentially controversial environmental issues. The endangered species team conducted karst studies to determine the least impactful route through critical habitat, while avoiding impacts to adjacent developments and a cemetery.
