Pape-Dawson was the civil engineer for the approximately 600,000-SF NuStar Energy Corporate Campus, including a four-story, 1,000-space parking garage. The campus is located on a 32-acre site southeast of the intersection of IH 10 West and Old Camp Bullis Road in San Antonio. The site is within the 680-acre La Cantera (The Rim) Master Development Plan.
Pape-Dawson completed a feasibility study to evaluate access, zoning, platting, environmental, topographic, drainage, and utility service issues related to the site, including necessary evaluations due to its location on the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone. Pape-Dawson teams also master planned a second 1,000-space garage for a future phase of development.
This development received Silver LEED certification.
Highlighted Corporate Campus Projects
Pape-Dawson provided the civil design for Tesoro’s corporate headquarters (now Andeavor). The campus consists of one 13-story, 484,000-SF office building; one 6-story, 179,000-SF office building; and a 6-floor, 179,000-SF garage.
Pape-Dawson has provided the civil engineering design for more than 15 branches of Frost Bank, the largest regional bank based in San Antonio.
The Oxbow and Credit Human
Pape-Dawson conducted master planning, low impact development design, platting, and traffic impact studies for the 12-story Oxbow building that houses the Credit Human headquarters in downtown San Antonio, and features unique energy, water usage, and carbon emission reduction systems.
Pape-Dawson provided conceptual master planning, relocation of existing on-site utilities, rezoning of the property, and the design of multiple drainage and roadway improvements for a 6-acre tract that houses 125,000 SF of office space and multi-level garage parking that now houses the San Antonio Water System offices north of downtown San Antonio.
Security Service Federal Credit Union Corporate Headquarters
Pape-Dawson provided site development, traffic impact analysis, and surveying services for Security Service Federal Credit Union’s corporate headquarters, as well as off-site infrastructure improvements to support the campus and adjacent developments.
USAA Corporate Headquarters
Pape-Dawson has been involved in various expansions to the 285-acre USAA Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, adding more than 3 million SF of office space, associated parking, and infrastructure improvements.
Project Tech Buildings 1 & 2
To support the expansion of some of the region’s top industries, including cybersecurity, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing, Pape-Dawson designed an office building complex in the heart of Port San Antonio.
