The Anderson Pump Station, a 13,000-gallons-per-minute, high-service booster pump station serving an estimated 8,700 customers in western Bexar County, was developed in conjunction with the Alamo Ranch and Westwinds Water Transmission Main project. Pape-Dawson worked closely with the San Antonio Water System to complete the design and secure all required approvals within budget on an expedited schedule. We procured and installed three 400 hp and one 100 hp high-service pumps and motors, and a hydropnuematic tank. We also coordinated all related electrical controls, chlorination system, and SCADA equipment. As part of the design, Pape-Dawson incorporated a hydraulic analysis of the distribution system. Additional services included cost estimates, topographic and tree surveys, easement acquisition, schematic design, construction specifications, and bid and construction phase services.
