Pape-Dawson provided planning, permitting, design, and construction phase services to improve existing infrastructure for the booming Sonterra Municipal Utility District (MUD) in north Austin. We created a water model of the existing water system to understand deficiencies and evaluate needs and performed a preliminary engineering report to assist the MUD in prioritizing improvements and allocating funding. We also designed phased improvements to increase storage capacity and water quality, including a 0.6 MGD elevated water storage tank, two wells for potable water consumption, and an 8″ water line to connect the improvements to distribution.
