Convention Center

The Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center is a 1.3-million SF facility located in the heart of Downtown San Antonio. Pape-Dawson was the civil engineer responsible for project expansion, which was planned to keep the convention center apace as a world-class facility.

We developed the site design for the expansion, working with the design-build contractor. We developed fire protection and site demolition plans; chilled water, water distribution, and San Antonio Water System plans; a sanitary sewer layout; storm drainage and grading plans; and a 408-vehicle temporary parking lot in Hemisfair Park.
