North East ISD Heroes Stadium
Pape-Dawson provided civil engineering services for North East ISD’s 58-acre sports complex, which includes Heroes Stadium, an 11,000-seat athletic facility located in an abandoned quarry on Wurzbach Parkway at Thousand Oaks Drive in San Antonio.
The stadium includes an artificial turf football field with the ability to convert to a regulation soccer field, a 400-meter track, a depressed playing field, a press box, concession stands, restrooms, and storage areas.
Pape-Dawson provided boundary and topographic surveys; a mass grading plan for the buildings, playing fields, parking areas, and roadways; plans for water and sanitary sewer service to the facilities; technical specifications for site improvements; and construction phase services. We also provided a site plan with horizontal controls, a utility plan with a water distribution system for domestic service and fire protection, a sanitary sewer collection system, and a storm drainage system for the paving areas and playing fields.
